Now totally homesick. :P

Autumn (fall!) is my favourite season anywhere, and I really love the long autumn I have in England compared to the brief but fiery fall in Minnesota, but I do miss all the decorating and festive spirit Americans throw into the autumn--along with Halloween (oh how I miss an American Halloween!) and Thanksgiving (yes, I really miss that one too).

Must do a post on Halloween this year to encourage the Brits to 'get more into it'. Will it work?! Glad you;re getting into it--will you bring these traditions back to the UK with you? At the moment it's fall, and we had a glorious week last week but now it's really wet and extremely (dangerously) windy. The boats that were left on Lake Michigan (to be dry-docked next weekend, by law) have all been smashed to bits; there are trees branches down all over the place and it's not even the end of October. The trees are just beautiful, and the weather is nice enough to be out enjoying them. Halloween is fun, and of course there's Thanksgiving to come.
